DIMA and COVID-19
In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, DIMA is committed to continuing to provide quality martial arts education while also keeping our students safe through limited contact and social distancing. On June 24, we will begin offering indoor classes in accordance with Illinois's Phase 4 guidelines.
About the School
Established in 2005, DIMA is dedicated to helping students grow physically and mentally. Our professional, certified black belt instructors are specially trained to bring out the best in every student. Not only do students have fun, get in great shape, and learn effective self-defense, but our specialized programs also help them develop the confidence, discipline, and self esteem necessary to succeed in anything they do. We also offer private self defense training for local businesses and community partners.
Why Learn Martial Arts at DIMA?
There are many reasons to study taekwondo and hapkido. The first three are perhaps the most obvious: physical fitness, discipline, and self defense. Students in our classes engage in dynamic fitness activities in a safe and fun environment while learning how to protect themselves in defense situations. They learn discipline through activities that require concentration, focus, and active listening. In addition, martial arts is a year-long activity; there are no “seasons” like in traditional sports such as basketball or soccer, so students can continue learning throughout the year. Check out the Taekwondo and Hapkido pages for more information about the fitness skills students at DIMA learn!

Finally, because their martial arts training instills them with discipline, respect, perseverance, and enthusiasm, students of taekwondo and hapkido learn how to be better people who live stable, happy lives. Our students participate in events that help them become caring and compassionate individuals.
